THE largest ever intake of students have been welcomed at Middlewich High School.
Some 157 year 7 pupils have been praised for looking so smart in their new uniform.
Headteacher Heidi Thurland said: "Our new year 7 students have made a fantastic first impression.
"They have all been very polite, immaculately presented and ready to learn.
"This year we welcome our largest intake of pupils which is a demonstration of confidence in us from our community by letting us be their school of choice."
All pupils have been Covid tested and staff have pledged to carefully manage safety precautions.
"We will be providing a broad and rich education in what hopefully will be a smoother year, " said Ms Thurland.
