A FUN dog show attracted more than 100 dogs to Marbury Park.

The event on Sunday raised more than £1,000 for the Blue Cross animal charity.

Organisers were delighted with the turn out.

Kevin Gleave, from the show, said: "The sun came out on a marvellous day.

"There was a huge response with 118 dogs making 322 entries for the 10 classes available.

"We are delighted to announce the total raised was a staggering £1,288 which will go to support the valuable work of Blue Cross for pets.

"Thank you to everyone who took part to make it a great day.

"The charity has animal clinics and rehoming centres spread over the UK delivering vital services for vulnerable pets."

Altogether there were 322 entries for 10 different classes ranging from the waggiest tail and best six legs to best pedigree and dog the judge would most like to take home.

Agility, a doggy derby, photography and tombola were among the many other activities.

The show was organised by Marbury Park Dog Activity Club.
