A NEW cocktail bar serving eco-friendly food and craft beers has been hailed a gem after selling out on the first night.

Eve's has transformed the former Rango's in Delamere Street, Winsford, into a vibrant venue to showcase the talents of local musicians and artists.

Alice Johnson teamed up with music promoter Martin Mosely, Elisha Smith and Andrea Taylor to launch the venture as part of Weaver Valley Co-op.

The unique hub, offering people the chance to relax, socialise and be inspired, has finally been unveiled.

Elisha, host director, said: "The opening night was even better than we could have imagined. At one point there wasn’t a spare seat in the place.

"The feedback we received on food and drinks was exceptional and the atmosphere in there was electric.

"We are extremely grateful for everyone that came and supported us, and can’t wait to see more local faces over the coming weeks."

Everyone pulled together, determined to make the new venture a success.

"As a young company, we are proud to put all our effort into creating an exciting new space in our wonderful home town," said Alice.

"We chose the name Eve's as the idea is to have a heavily botanical theme. The brand identity is to be more conscious of the products we offer, sell and consume."

Cllr Damon Horrill, a trustee of the employee owned organisation said: "Eve’s is a new beginning for the Weaver Valley Co-op which I am pleased to say has survived the toughest tests and the disappointment over The Red Lion without falter.

"I was fortunate enough to sample the offering at their preview night. Everything was excellent, quality is in the detail. It’s stunning.

"Weaver Valley Co-op is the UK's first ever worker co-op pub company, 100 per cent owned by the community of local staff who have put their heart and soul into this project. They deserve success."

Winsford mayor Cllr Nathan Pardoe said: "I attended the preview night in a personal capacity with my family and we all had a fantastic evening.

"The food was delicious, the homemade puddings were a bonus and the excellent drinks menu and new decor made for a great experience.

"The enthusiasm and passion of the team were obvious. I wish Eve's all the best and hope Winsford residents make the most of this local gem."
