A PUB has launched a range of homemade pies and they're flying off the shelves.

Starbites at The Old Star is running a pie day every Tuesday.

Customers can sit inside the Swanlow Lane pub, outside in the beer garden, take food home or arrange for it to be delivered.

Cook Tina Woodward makes all the pies following her own special recipes.

Chicken, ham and leek is the current favourite.

Kelly Swift, from Starbites, said: "We've only just started pies and they're going fantastic. They are all homemade."

Fillings include steak, mince and onion, meat and potato, cheese and onion or cheese and beans.

The team is willing to take special requests if customers prefer something different.

Pies need to be ordered by Saturday for delivery or collection on Tuesday or Wednesday.

A large 10 inch family pie is £10 and a smaller 8.5 inch size is £5.

Bookings are still being taken for tables.
