SMILES filled every room as children returned to Darnhall Primary School in Winsford.
Pupils were thrilled to see each other again.
Headteacher Sarah Tomlinson said “Having the children back to school has brought our school back to life. The sound of children chatting, playing and learning together is just priceless. Smiles have filled every room.”

Children respect social distancing as they meet up with their friends
Little ones in reception and nursery had the school to themselves for the first day before everyone else came back.

Deputy headteacher Sarah Jardine said: "It was such a special day for us all being back. Children couldn't get in quick enough and some ran across the playground.

"We are a family at Darnhall so it was like coming back to your family. They were so excited.
"Everyone is happy to see their friends and are enjoying themselves."
