UNSUNG heroes who supported the community through the pandemic are being honoured.
People who helped Winsford get through lockdown are being featured in a 2021 charity calendar.

A donation from any profits will be given to St Luke's Hospice.

Friends of Winsford Town Park want to thank volunteers, workers and community groups who went above and beyond to help residents.

Karen Roebuck, a volunteer who helped elderly and vulnerable residents through the Good Neighbour scheme

John Malam, the group's chairman, said:“The Winsford 2021 calendar is all about people. Each month is dedicated to Winsford people who have helped get us through these difficult months.
Northwich Guardian:
Siobhan Brown, a staff nurse at St Luke's Hospice

“The calendar will feature about 150 portrait photos, a mixture of selfies and photos we’ve taken. Our doctors, nurses, care-workers, schools, pharmacies, recycling teams, postal workers, volunteers, shop-staff, churches, emergency services and many others, are all included."

Northwich Guardian:
Mischa Bird and Tina Holt from Asda

This year's calendar was hailed a great success after almost 1,000 copies were sold raising funds for the town park.
Northwich Guardian:
Aziz El Quadghiri from the recycling collection team

"We’re quietly confident that next year’s calendar is going to be popular with the local community as it’s our way for the community to say thank you to the community for being there for us during the pandemic," said John.
Northwich Guardian:
Jean and Cyril Craven from The Salvation Army

"I’m sure that everyone who sees the calendar will recognise at least one familiar face. “It might be their GP, someone from a local shop, the postie or the volunteer who helped with the shopping.
Northwich Guardian:
Bill Landy and Rosemary Clare from Mid Cheshire Foodbank

The Winsford 2021 calendar is being designed by the Design and Print Team at the Neuromuscular Centre, with each month sponsored by a Winsford business.
