A £6,000 PAY rise isn’t something that many of us see very often, but it has been announced that MPs could get just that.

Plans are being made to boost their salaries to £74,000 per annum. With everyone suffering from austerity measures and more to come, does this prove that Westminster is completely out of touch with the country?

Meanwhile, all they seem to do is to promote their personal agenda – ignoring a 700,000 name petition; HS2, spending £50bn plus, which no-one wants; resisting a referendum on EU membership etc. For certain, on a performance pay basis, which they are mad keen on elsewhere, I think £30,000 would be overpaid.
