WINSFORD A remain in the running to secure promotion to the South and Mid Cheshire League's top-flight after extending a winning sequence to three matches.
Alex Lerczak, Chris Knight, Mike Johnston and Mark Abbiss made up their quartet for a 4½-3½ win at Nantwich B in Division Two on Thursday.
It leaves them second in the standings, three points adrift of leaders Tarporley.
Winsford B, still winless, continue to find the going tough in Division Three, falling to an 8-0 reverse at promotion-chasing Congleton C in their latest outing on Tuesday.
Chris Mayoh was joined on court by Neil, Mark and Jamie Garratt.
Winsford C ran into a superior opponent too in Division Five, losing by the same score against table-toppers Alsager B.
Ste Harris, Bill Lawrie, Dan Clarke and Gary Foster were on duty.
The club's senior members meet to practice at Knights Grange every Monday, from 6pm.
Meanwhile junior players can hone their skills at the same venue every Wednesday throughout the summer.
Newcomers can join in.
