WINSFORD A could not prevent visiting Tarporley from extending an unbeaten run in the South and Mid Cheshire Tennis League when they met on Thursday.
Mike Johnston, Mark Abbiss, Alex Lerczak and Chris Knight were on court for the home team in a 6½-1½ defeat that leaves them fourth in the Division Two table.
A visit from Hartford E on Thursday provides an opportunity to return to winning ways again.
Winsford B continue to struggle in Division Three, slipping to a 7-1 reverse at Holmes Chapel A in their latest match.
Chris Mayoh, Mark Garratt, Jamie Garratt and Steve McCormack made up a quartet that is still searching for a first victory of the summer.
Winsford C occupy top spot in Division Five following a whitewash of back-markers Congleton G – a third win in four games.
