Match pointers
1874 NORTHWICH hope to make it third time lucky as they search for a first win since starting life in the North West Counties League.
The newcomers have drawn each of their two opening games, leading to manager Ian Street ruing a lack of ruthlessness in front of goal.
Striker Mike Brandon, whose partner has had a baby this week, is expected to feature despite missing training last night, Thursday.
Lee Hendley (calf) is an injury doubt after sitting out Tuesday’ 1-1 tie at Irlam, but Dave Tickle (groin) should be available again and could play at left back. That would allow Ryan Stewart to play further forward in midfield.
Daisy Hill are one of three teams to have scored six points so far following wins, both by 2-1, against Rochdale Town and Atherton LR.
If they are victors again tomorrow, then the Bolton-based club will equal their best start to a league campaign since the turn of the century.
Their best finish at this level is eighth, in 2005.
