POLICE are investigating the theft of a hybrid car.

Officers in Middlewich are appealing for information after a white Jaguar E-Pace was stolen.

The vehicle, a hybrid SUV, was taken from Pennymoor Drive sometime between April 9 and 22.

“We have received a report that between April 9 and April 22 a white Jaguar E-Pace was taken from Pennymoor Drive,” said a spokesperson for Middlewich Police.

“If you know any information please call 101 and quote IML1806295.”

The Jaguar is the second vehicle stolen in Middlewich this month.

On Thursday (April 18), police reported that a red Peugeot 307 was stolen from a driveway on Colve Way between April 12 and 15.

This comes after two vehicles were stolen when burglars broke into a home on Dexter Close and found their keys in the early hours of April 4.

With these incidents in mind, Middlewich Police have taken to social media to share advice on keeping vehicles safe.

Officers have reminded residents to always lock their vehicles and close all windows and sunroofs.

Number plates should be secured with tamper-resistant screws and fit locking, and anti-tamper, wheel nuts should be used to secure alloy wheels, police say.

Any electrical items inside the vehicle should be hidden and you should try to park in well-lit, busier, areas.
