Every week, the Northwich & Winsford Guardian publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have died.

As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

Philip Jocelin Andrews

The former headmaster of Middlewich High School, between 1979 and 2000, died peacefully at Westbourne Care Home, Holmes Chapel, on Wednesday, January 17.

Philip, aged 80 and of Lovell Court, Holmes Chapel, was the dearly loved husband of Patricia, much-loved father of Robert, father-in-law to Sarah, and grandad to Rhys and Cerys.

Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, February 6, at The Parish Church of St Luke's, Holmes Chapel, at noon, prior to committal at The Birches Crematorium, Lach Dennis.

There will also be a funeral procession through Middlewich prior to the service.

The procession will pause outside Middlewich High School at around 11.10am for three minutes before moving on to St Michael's Church.

It will pause there until around 11.30am, when it will then head to St Luke's in London Road. A book of condolence for Philip is at Middlewich Library.

Alfred Sollinger

In loving memory of Alfred Sollinger, beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend who passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on January 19, after a short courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

His family was the centre of his universe, and he took great joy in creating lasting memories with them.

As they mourn the loss they also celebrate the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind. Rest in peace, he will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Thomas 'Tom' Snelson

The 80-year-old died on Thursday, January 18.

Tom was the much-loved dad to Debs and partner Nick, and a caring brother and uncle.

He will be sadly missed by all family and friends. Funeral service to be held on Monday, February 12, at 11am at the Birches Remembrance Park and Crematorium.

Raymond Barnett

The 86-year-old died on January 12 in Leighton Hospital Crewe, with his family by his side.

Raymond, from Barnton and formerly Rudheath, will be sadly missed by his wife Joan, daughter Tracy, son-in-law Charles, grandson Jacob and family and friends.

The funeral will take place at Christ Church Barnton on Tuesday, February 6, at 12pm followed by internment at Barnton Cemetery.

Kathleen Margaret 'Kath' Rees (née Holt)

Formerly known as Kathleen Margaret Todd, Kath sadly died on Wednesday, January 17, aged 92 years.

Kath was the much-loved wife to the late Bill Todd and to the late Colin Rees, much-loved mum to Jenny, Helen and William and nannie to George, Harry and Freddie, and a loving sister to the late Betty.

Funeral to take place on Monday, February 12, at Dunham Massey Crematorium at 12.45pm.

Thanks to all at Warrington General Hospital and the very caring staff at Keate House Care Home, Lymm.

Gwilym Thomas

The 91-year-old, of Winnington, died peacefully on January 28 with 'his girls' present.

Gwilym was the very precious husband of Marion, dad of Davy, Yvonne and Mairi, amazing grandad of Emma, Adam, Aimee and Hannah, and proud great-grandad to Lilly and Tommy.

The most precious person has physically passed on but he will always be with us because of the continuous and unconditional love he gave to us all.

Ann Christine Thompson

Ann peacefully died in Kitwood House, Rudheath, on January 13 between 6pm and 7pm in the evening.

Funeral will be at Vale Royal Crematorium on February 16 at 11am.
