AN air ambulance has landed outside leisure centre and swimming pool in Winsford after a man fell ill.
Paramedics were also called to Winsford Lifestyle Centre on The Drumber.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust said: "We mobilised several resources, including an air ambulance to Winsford lifestyle Centre following a 999 call at 8.54am this morning.
"We have taken a male patient to hospital by road after he suffered a medical episode."
North West Air Ambulance confirmed that Helimed 75 attended to assist paramedics.
A spokesman for Cheshire West and Chester Council said: "A member of the public was taken seriously ill earlier today at Winsford Lifestyle Centre.
"The person was given first aid on site and resuscitated with the use of a defibrillator.
"An air ambulance was deployed."
Winsford mayor Cllr Nathan Pardoe said: "My thoughts are with the patient, I hope he recovers and is on the mend soon.
"Thanks to North West Ambulance Service and other emergency services for their prompt response."
