FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house in Winsford last night after an extractor fan caught fire in the kitchen.
Two fire crews from Winsford were called to the property in Brackenfield Way, shortly after 8pm.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the address.
Luckily, no-one was unaccounted for.
The gas and electricity supplies were isolated and firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet.
They also used a large fan to clear the property of smoke and damped down and cut away parts of the kitchen that were damaged by the fire.
Firefighters also made sure that the fire had not spread, looking for hotspots with a thermal imaging camera.
Once satisfied that the property was safe firefighters left the address.
They were in attendance for more than an hour-and-a-half.
