A WINSFORD-based company brushed shoulders with royalty when Her Majesty The Queen and The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, visited Cheshire on Thursday, June 14.
Jiffy Packaging, located in Road Four, received their invitation extended by Cllr Bob Rudd, the chairman of Cheshire West and Chester Council, and Cllr Alex Black, the Lord Mayor of Chester.
Representing the company was Fiona MacDougall, their sales and marketing director, who has worked for the company at its Winsford headquarters for a total of 16 years.
Speaking about the royal invitation, MacDougall said, “It was a huge privilege and honour for Jiffy to be represented at this majestic luncheon and to be part of The Queen and Duchess of Sussex’s historic visit to Cheshire.”
Jiffy has been manufacturing in Cheshire since 1964. The company’s iconic Jiffy Padded Bag is still manufactured on the same machine that was installed at the Winsford Industrial Estate back in 1964.
It is now part of a state of the art manufacturing facility making padded bags, bubble film, bubble-lined mailers to name but a few of the company’s products.
