WINSFORD’S first ‘experience restaurant and bar’ will open its doors this week.
Situated on Delamere Street in the site previously occupied by Saxon’s pub, a new Italian/Tex Mex restaurant, Rango’s, is opening on Thursday, October 12.
Saxon’s closed around a year and the building has remained empty until now.
Rango’s is a new concept from Cornerstone Inns, which also operates The Red Lion, The Gate Inn, The Prince’s Feathers and de bees in Winsford.
Owner Damon Horrill says the menu features ‘classics with a twist, with spaghetti western mash-ups that fuse the food styles in novel ways.’
Damon is aiming for his new business to be more versatile than any other, with plans to include a café during the day and live entertainment at weekends.
Damon said: “Big brands have no interest in Winsford which is an opportunity for us to do things for ourselves. Delamere Street is filling up with independents so it’s great to be doing something in the heart of it all.
“Hopefully seeing new businesses thrive in Winsford will encourage further investment in the town, people will wake up to the opportunities in Winsford sooner or later.”
Reservations can be made by emailing info@rangosmenu.com
The restaurant is fully booked for the opening night.
