THERE are 23 scheduled roadworks taking place in Winsford over the next two weeks.

Nine areas are considered ‘likely’ for delays, while in five roads delays are ‘possible’. There are nine areas where delays are ‘unlikely’.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place near the Swanlow Lane Post Office until Thursday, August 10, but will then resume further north on the same road between Tuesday, August 22 and Wednesday, August 23 for planned BT works.

Road works will also take place in High Street near Kwik Fit until Friday, August 11 and then again from Monday, August 21 to Friday, August 25 for United Utilities works.

Scheduled works in Grange Lane near Winsford Academy are also considered likely to cause delays from Monday, August 14 to Friday, August 25. A diversion through Windermere Road and Roehurst Lane will be in place.

Finally, scheduled grass cutting is said to be likely to cause delays. This is in four locations: in Oakmere Road both opposite the Police Headquarters and near St Johns Drive, and on the by-pass near the Marina and near Morrisons.

Other areas of road works considered less likely to cause delays include Swanlow Avenue off Moors Lane, Nixon Drive and Abbotts Way where traffic control measures might be in place.
