THE car park section on the corner of St Chads Fields in Winsford is now earmarked for four houses and two bungalows.
Muir Housing Group has submitted a planning application to Cheshire West and Chester Council to build the six properties on the land.
A decision on whether to grant permission is yet to be made.
This is Muir Housing’s second attempt at gaining planning permission to build on this land.
In 2008 it had a planning application for six terraced houses refused.
In plans submitted to the council, Muir Housing said: “The client would now like to submit a scheme which will have less impact on the surrounding areas by incorporating bungalows adjoining the existing houses with a soft landscaping to soften the proposed.
“The scheme also proposes changes to the existing car parking area further around St Chads Fields, promoting an additional 15 car parking spaces for the existing residents to lessen the impact on the proposed development.”
