CLASSES at Winsford High Street Primary School will be set to move into their new classrooms by February, as part of the huge expansion.

This comes as part of Cheshire West and Chester Council’s plans to expand the capacity of the school in High Street from 315 pupils to 525 pupils, making it the largest primary school in west Cheshire.

Head teacher Mark Joule has now revealed that the new classroom buildings will be ready to move into in a matter of weeks.

In an update on the school’s website, Mr Joule said: “As you may have noticed the foundations for Phase 2 (the new reception area) have been dug during the holidays; in addition further work has been completed on the new classroom block.

“As a result, I am able to inform you that should all go to plan, we will take possession of the new classrooms towards the end of February and the office/reception area just after the Easter break.

“May I take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding during the building programme. The facilities we will be able to offer will be superb and very spacious.”
