A HOUSING development sales cabin which was built in Swanlow Lane without planning permission is being ordered to be taken down, Cheshire West and Chester Council has confirmed.
The Guardian reported last week that Bellway Homes had built a sales cabin on land off Swanlow Lane to accompany its Swanlow Fields development.
The cabin was built with no planning permission and a planning application was submitted retrospectively by Bellway, which still has not been decided upon by the council’s planning officers.
Cllr Brian Clarke, cabinet member for economic development and infrastructure, has now said that the council is taking ‘formal enforcement action’ to get the cabin removed.
Cllr Clarke said: “We asked Bellway Homes to remove the sales cabin that doesn't have planning permission and we are now proceeding with formal enforcement action.”
