A LARGE party of emergency services were sent to Winsford Flashes yesterday to find a man in his narrowboat stuck in the mud.
Two fire engines and a support fire service rescue van, along with police and paramedics were sent to Winsford Flashes at 5.30pm.
Police received the call reporting a concern for a member of the public’s safety and alerted the fire and rescue and ambulance services.
However, when the emergency services arrived, it was deemed that there was no risk to anybody’s safety.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The man was safe and well when the crews got there and assessed the situation and the owner of the narrowboat was advised to contact River Rescue to assist with the removal.”
