A DETERMINED fundraiser for Winsford’s St Luke’s Hospice has raised £17,000 for the charity after completing her 12th midnight walk.
Janice Spibey, staff member at Audlem-based Morris Care, has taken part in a midnight walk every year for the past 12 years to raise money for St Luke’s.
This year the Midnight Walk in Audlem saw Janice walk more than 13 miles in three hours and 50 minutes.
Janice said: “I really couldn’t do it without the support from the people of Audlem who continue to sponsor me year after year.”
Money raised from Janice’s previous 11 walks added up to around £15,000 and this year she raised £1,368.
Her employer Morris Care, also donated funds to bring the 2016 grand total up to £2,000.
Janice added: “The donation from Morris Care will really spur me on to continue fundraising for this wonderful charity.”
