A WINSFORD resident has been given permission by the council to open a hair salon at her home in Thrush Way.
Lucie Maddock is set to turn her garage into a hair salon after her request for planning permission was approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The garage will be converted into a hair salon which will operate on an appointment-only basis.
The council’s planning officers approved the application on the basis that only one client is allowed to be at the salon at any time and that the business operating hours will be restricted to 8am to 7pm on weekdays and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
Permission was granted despite objections from Winsford Town Council.
A spokesman for the town council submitted an objection, stating: “Recommended for refusal regarding the change of use and parking on what is purely a residential estate.
The application says that the parking is going to be reduced, when the business would probably have an increase in parking in what is a very small space.”
