A MAN suffered serious head injuries when he was attacked in an alleyway in Winsford.
The man, aged 39, was walking along the alleyway which leads from Nixon Drive to Knights Grange Fields at around 8pm on Saturday, when he was attacked.
He was taken to Leighton Hospital with what has been described ‘serious injuries’ after being hit on the head and face. He was released from hospital on Monday.
DC Chris Jacques said: “This investigation is ongoing and we are currently following a number of lines of enquiries.
"As part of the investigation I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information which can help assist with the investigation.”
Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident take place or have any information to help police with their enquiries to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 286 of 23 August.
Information can also be passed on anonymously by calling the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
