WINSFORD Hospice St Luke’s is launching its Big Change pub challenge, encouraging local supporters to donate their pennies after ordering their pint.
The aim of the challenge is to gain the support of local pubs and for them to display a Big Change collection box to create awareness of St Luke’s and encourage the punters to donate their loose change.
This small amount of change can make a big change to those with life-limiting illnesses and their families within the community.
St Luke’s is hoping to gain the support of 100 local pubs for the challenge to raise enough money to Pay for a Day of hospice care.
Angela Slack, community partnerships manager at St Luke’s, said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing how many people get involved in this challenge. It’s an easy way to encourage people to give a small amount which can really help us to make a big difference in our community.”
