A BALLET club for babies and tots in Winsford has received financial support and some sweet treats from homebuilder Taylor Wimpey, to mark its annual Big Teddy Bears Picnic event.

Babyballet Winsford received a £350 donation used to help towards the cost of hiring the hall for the event, as well as pay for the picnic pack lunches for the children and the entertainment.

Taylor Wimpey also surprised the children with some hand-decorated cupcakes featuring ballet shoes and teddy bears to ensure everyone got into the spirit of the day.

Natasha Gillan, principle teacher at Babyballet Winsford, said: “The children had a lovely afternoon with their friends. We always try to make sure the children enjoy themselves as our academy is about having fun as well as learning new skills.

“I would like to extend a huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey on behalf of everyone at Babyballet Winsford. The children and their teddies had a blast and the surprise cupcakes made everything that bit more extra special.”

Babyballet is a nationwide company that has been running for 10 years. Babyballet Winsford provides training to 115 children from the ages of six months to six years old.

Stuart Craig, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, added: “We’ve supported Babyballet in the past and continue to do so as it’s a great cause. Our Spring Croft development, launched last year, is nearby and features a number of family homes so it’s lovely to be able to support an organisation that works with children in the local community.

“We are so pleased to see our donation go towards such a lovely event and we’re all delighted that the children and teddies had fun.”
