THE second annual Darnhall Show was held at the weekend with the new Darnhall Rose Queen taking her crown.
The show, now in its second year after being renamed from the Darnhall Village Day after a steady increase in size, was held on Sunday, July 10, at Court House Farm.
Philippa Moss was crowned as this year’s Darnhall Rose Queen and more than 50 dogs were entered into dog show.
Other events included a 20-mile vintage tractor run around the lanes of mid-Cheshire and performances from Earl of Stamford Morris Dancers and the Worlston School Choir.
Chris Pope, Darnhall Show organiser, said: “It was an event filled with all the quintessential "British" summer fete elements that are so familiar throughout countless shows.
“With the Darnhall WI, Guides and Brownies, plus a farmers market, loads of stalls and a funfair it proved to be a most colourful and enjoyable day. “We'll be back to do it all again in 2017 - see you there.”
