A WINSFORD teenager has been described as a ‘son to be proud of’ by his family after he died in a car crash on Sunday.

Josh Rosenberg, 18, was driving his Honda Civic when he was involved in a three-car crash on the A57 Snake Pass in Derbyshire at around 9.50pm on May 15.

Josh’s family have paid tribute to their son and brother, who was ‘full of excitement.’ Kristy Rosenberg, Josh’s sister, said on behalf of the family: “My brother Josh. He is a young lad full of excitement, witty comments, sarcasm, caring, kind, and overall a brother that I look up to.

“We bounce off each other causing havoc for my parents which I know, deep down, they would never change. He is a son to be proud of.

“Josh loves his cars taking time to complete projects with his dad. He dedicated his spare time to build his own Honda Jordan which will be his 21st birthday present, a present that he will cherish in the clouds. Josh loves his mum, always calling her an angel - a mum that most certainly is an angel and that loves Josh so much.

“Josh maybe in heaven right now but he will always live through his family. Dad, Paul, mum, Rayan, and me, his tormenting older sister Kristy. I am so proud of you Josh. "Rest in peace my brother. I love you so much, more than you will ever imagine.”

Tributes also poured in for Josh, who left Winsford Academy in 2014, on Facebook from friends.

Kieran Davies wrote: “Can't believe one of my best mates, my brother has been taken from us. No one ever had a bad thing to say about him and no matter what he always had the power to cheer you up, he was always there for me and I just can't believe you've gone.”

Ehtisham Hanif, 29, from Sheffield, was driving a black BMW and also died in the crash.

Five other people were injured and their injuries have been described as ‘not life-threatening.’ Police want to speak to anyone who saw the BMW driving in the area prior to the collision.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 732 of May 15.
