AN elderly woman from Winsford had to be airlifted to hospital after a 'trauma in the home', North West Air Ambulance have confirmed.
The air ambulance landed on Oakland School's field at around 11.30am on Friday.
It is believed the patient was from the Over Estate.
A spokesman for North West Air Ambulance said: “The air ambulance was called to an incident in Winsford on Friday, November involving a female in her 70s.
“She was transported to Wythenshawe hospital and it was an incident involving trauma in the home.”
Teaching staff from the school gathered in the school's car park as the air ambulance left the scene.
One member of staff told the Guardian that the patient was 'covered with sheets' when they entered the air ambulance.
