THE future of the a Winsford youth centre is brighter than ever after showing off its ‘new image’ to the public.
More than 160 people attended the New Images Youth Centre open day earlier this month.
The youth centre, which has been at risk of closure for some years, gave visitors a taste of all it has to offer following refurbishment works.
These include a wrestling show and workshops, kick boxing, missed martial arts, ramp riders skate boards and street art workshops.
There was face painting and a bouncy castle for the children, and Asda donated cake and waffles, which were served throughout the day.
Mike Kennedy, a trustee of New Images, said: “New Images certainly has a new image and the trustees, staff and volunteers were thrilled that there was such a great turnout with all positive comments.
“The Winsford Youth Forum, staff and volunteers would like to express their appreciation for enabling us to have such a marvellous open day.
“The future is bright, the Future has a new image and we will ensure we always have community delivery at our heart, whatever community that may be.”
