PEOPLE and pooches are in for a treat later this year when a Winsford charity holds their next Wag ‘n’ Walk fundraiser.

The NeuroMuscular Centre (NMC) will hold the sponsored walk on Saturday, September 12, from noon at Delamere Forest.

The walk will consist of a leisurely stroll around the 2.7 mile route in Delamere Forest, which meanders through the beautiful shady oasis of the forest as well as taking in the sights of Blakemere Moss before leading on the Blakemere Trail.

This family day out is all in aid of the NMC, A Winsford-based charity that supports adults and young people with muscular dystrophy from across the Cheshire and beyond.

The cost of running charity is £875,000 every year, and they are almost entirely reliant on donations.

A spokesman for the NMC said: “Over the past four years, Wag ‘n’ Walk sponsored dog walk events across Cheshire have helped to raise more than £6,000 for our charity.

“We hope you will support Wag n’ Walk Delamere Forest and look forward to seeing all friendly dogs (and owners!) there. “

A small £5 entry fee will gain you entry to the dog walk, which also includes a sponsorship form and a doggy goody bag along with a free parking pass.
