SUBWAY is set to open a new store in Winsford as part of a UK expansion.
The popular sandwich store has announced plans of reaching a milestone of 200 stores in the Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Cumbria and Isle of Man region by the end of 2015.
Of these stores, ten are to be opened in Cheshire, including Winsford and Northwich, creating a minimum of 60 jobs.
Spearheading the growth in the region is Subway development agent, Neil Denny.
Mr Denny said: “The level of growth that the Subway brand has experienced in the UK and Ireland is a fantastic achievement.
“Expansion in our region is going strong and we are looking forward to opening many more stores throughout 2015.
“The plan for further growth is in response to the increasing consumer demand in the region for affordable, healthier choices.
“With a population of 1,028,600 in Cheshire, we believe these plans are very achievable during 2015 and we are actively looking to attract local entrepreneurs to become franchisees operating these new stores.”
The Subway brand is the largest specialist sandwich franchise in the UK and Ireland, with more than 2,000 stores. Worldwide, there are around 43,000 Subway stores in more than 105 countries.
