A MIXED-MEDIA exhibition will be hosted by Drinks and Bites at no 35 in Wheelock Street on February 8.
The exhibition, which will be held between 2pm and 5pm at the café, will display a selection of 2D & 3D artwork with live background music.
Artists Jean Crocker and Ruth Dalby have developed the work as a modern response to the revival of afternoon tea.
Teas, coffees, and cakes will be available, with a chance to meet the artists. A selection of the work will be on show for the rest of the week, during normal opening hours, when the full menu will be available.
Jean has exhibited with Cheshire Artists Network and Open Studios, and independently further afield, while Ruth has exhibited as a member of the Breakaway Textile Group at Nantwich Museum and Festival Drayton.
Ruth said: “Jean loves working in mixed-media, with natural materials such as willow and other hedgerow and garden plants, textiles, through to drawing, and my family were tailors so I’ve always stitched.
“We have developed the work as a modern response to the revival of afternoon tea.
“With our shared sense of humour we hope to cheer and brighten the winter days.”
