PUDSEY Bear dropped into Winsford’s Asda store to help spur on Children in Need fundraisers.

Children were queuing up to take their photo with the loveable bear, who came to help out on BBC Children in Need on Friday, November 14.

Staff at the popular store held a Lucky Dip, raising just under £200. Asda community champion Caroline Cocklin vowed to stay silent for the day, raising £188 .00

Caroline said: "I’d like to say a big thank you to all our customers and colleagues who donated.

"Staying silent for the day was tougher than I thought it would be, but it was for a great cause so I was able to power though.

“Thank you to all those who sponsored me.”

A BBC Children in Need spokesperson thanked all those contributed to Winsford's Asda fundraising efforts.

The spokesperson said: "As an important partner for BBC Children in Need, the support of Asda, its colleagues and customers has been instrumental in helping us raise the millions we do.

“Huge thanks to Asda for their continued support and lots of luck to everyone at the Winsford Asda with their fundraising events this year.

"Thank you."
