A TALENTED Winsford teen scored the winning entry in a competition to design an alternative to the iconic Jules Rimet Trophy.
Ella Dunne, 13, wowed judges with her football shaped cup for the competition, organised by Asda and New Winsford's New Images Youth Club, in conjunction with the Fifa World Cup in the summer.
Little Ella, who attends Winsford Academy, won a signed football from Crewe Alexandra in recognition for her grand design as well as a copy of her winning entry signed by Crewe’s manager Steve Davies.
Clr Mike Kennedy, representing Dene ward, said: “Ella has shown that the New Images Youthy has some bright and artistic young people, who value the service that we provide.
“As a trustee of the Winsford Youth Forum it always gives me great pleasure to see one of our youngsters standing out from the crowd, well done Ella.”
Asda community champion, Caroline Cocklin, praised Ella’s design, which beat a host of other entries to claim victory.
Caroline said: "Ella's entry stood out for its uniqueness yet simple idea of using the shape of the football boot in the cup design.”
