WEAVER Vale Housing Trust is encouraging green-fingered tenants in Winsford to enter its annual garden competition.
Categories are best overall garden, best patio garden, best communal garden - including blocks of flats - and best independent living scheme garden.
“Now winter is well behind us and spring and summer flowers are appearing we are seeing our neighbourhoods come alive with colour,” said Karen Sinclair, environment team leader for the Trust.
“Well maintained gardens have a huge positive impact on local communities and the idea of the competition is to celebrate some of the best on show and reward those who put in all the hard work.”
Customers have until Wednesday, August 20 to enter the contest.
Winners in each category will receive a £200 voucher for either B&Q or Love to Shop.
To take part, tenants should send in four colour photographs of their garden plus their name, address, contact number, and the name of the category they would like to enter.
Successful entrants will be contacted to arrange a convenient time to judge the garden between August 21-25. Awards will be presented to the winners on August 27.
