THE sun came out over the Flashes for another packed weekend of entertainment during On The Fringe 2014.

The annual Winsford festival saw hordes of visitors enjoy the best live music, arts and crafts in the region between July 11-13.

The sounds of the King rang out over Winsford when Paul Larcombe’s award winning Elvis tribute kicked off three days of fun on Friday evening.

Saturday saw a funfair and circus skills keep the crowds entertained alongside performances from the cream of local singers and bands.

The festival concluded on Sunday evening with a rib-tickling revue at de bees led by comedian Kevin Dewsbury.

Festival organiser, Damon Horrill, said: “It was a superb few days; very much a Winsford effort and everyone should be extremely proud of themselves.

"It was a real community event for all the family; very friendly and very positive.

“Winsford's craft makers were a great new addition, we have a flourishing creative community as well as the music scene that is the toast of the county.

“The next generation was on view on The Academy stage, the quality of the performances and support from families and friends was fantastic to see.

“This event will grow, so many people saw its huge potential.

“We’re looking forward to On The Fringe 2015. This festival is here to stay.”
