WINSFORD’S Dingle Centre has been spruced up by community-minded youngsters from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Prince's Trust team.

Fifteen local young people aged 16 to 25 spent three weeks redecorating the facility on High Street, by giving the interior of the building a lick of paint throughout.

Team assistant Jennie Pye said: "The team worked really hard on this project, which was quite large. They pushed themselves to complete it on time and on budget so I am very proud of them all.

“By working at the Dingle Centre the group were able to gain some new skills which they will take away with them. The group also had the chance to mix with people of all ages and were made very welcome by the visitors, staff and volunteers alike.”

Manager of the Dingle Centre, Pam Rowe added: “The older people love to see the youngsters and they have got a really good sense of humour.

“Everyone thinks it is wonderful and because they use the centre everyday, it’s nice for the users to come in and see it all decorated. “The team has made the centre lovely, bright, clean and fresh for everyone, and I am really pleased with what they have done.”
