FIREFIGHTERS were called to a large blaze at the former Liquid Lounge club in Winsford last night, Tuesday, August 8.
One fire engine from Winsford, one from Middlewich, two from Northwich and the hydraulic platform from Chester were in attendance.
The fire in the derelict building in New Road broke out at 8.42pm.
Once in attendance crews found the building, which was approximately 20 metres square, well alight.
The fire was extinguished using three main jets, and two breathing apparatus crews using two hose reels.
Crews spent time damping down the area. The police were in attendance as New Road was closed while the fire extinguished.
A spokesman for Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Team said officers had spent the night making sure evidence at the scene was preserved for crime scene investigators.
Anyone with information on the fire should call Cheshire Police on 101.
