HAVING recently retired from Cheshire East Council after 16 years of service, I would like to publicly thank everyone who has supported my staying in office for four terms.
I would also like to thank those who took the time and trouble to support my candidature for Middlewich Town Council on May 2.
I have enjoyed meeting and working with so many members of our local community over the years and hope that I may have been able to bring help and support to many where needed.
It has also been my pleasure to have been an active member of the team which successfully negotiated the final delivery of the much needed bypass and the funding for the town’s recently agreed new leisure facility.
The fact that we were also able to act as a catalyst to the rail project group (MCRLC) at the negotiating table and win the securing of both the project and the land for the station, is especially pleasing.
It has been a memorable 16 years in which I hope I have been able to have given something back to the town which has given me and my family so much over the past 43 years.
Thank you, once again, to all who have supported me and been so kind.
Mike Parsons
