HAVING attended meetings with our MP, Esther McVey, I know she can deliver a good and passionate speech.
I am less impressed by her written communication, having written to her in mid-November (with acknowledgement of receipt) but am still waiting for any actual reply.
Is this the new normal – or are there some topics on which Esther is less keen to engage with her constituents who overall voted ‘Remain’ by a substantial margin?
I know that in Tatton constituency, many are wealthy enough to be somewhat insulated from the economic impact of Brexit but it has still never been demonstrated why our country should purposely be seriously damaged to further the aspirations of a tiny minority of doctrinaire enthusiasts.
And of course, that goes even more strongly for those in poorer or more fragile areas. Has she not got a credible response?
