ON Monday, January 28, I was walking with my close friend to Hale Station when she suddenly collapsed close to the level crossing.
I, along with her family, would like to thank all the people that rushed to her help.
They include the young man who rang for the ambulance, the mother and daughter who placed their handbags under my friend’s head and especially the female doctor and her husband who carried out CPR and the manager of the Britannia Ashley Hale Hotel, who brought a defibrillator and, of course, the excellent ambulance crew.
A big thank you to Cibo Italian restaurant in Victoria Road for their hospitality and making their premises available to all of us.
I am sorry to say despite everyone’s very best efforts she died later in hospital.
But once again a big thank you to everyone who did everything they possibly could for her.
