I’D like to thank the driver who stopped to help my wife who is disabled.

Her car, which had been serviced that morning had been overfilled with oil, leading it to smoke heavily whilst she was returning home along the A556 outside Hartford.

She had to stop the car right away as she was unable to see anything.

Cars were flying past at speed (being rush hour).

An unknown driver stopped and pushed her back into the nearby layby.

After asking if she was OK he said that he felt better knowing that he had left her in a safer position.

We would both like to thank him for his kind deed.

Although a thumbs down to the RAC, who even after repeated calls to them left her stuck from just after 5pm until 8.20pm.

Every time I rang I spoke to a different person who made the same promise to ring her, somebody did at nearly 8pm, the RAC guy who arrived said he’d only got the call 20 minutes earlier.

The incident happened on Friday, September 7.
