Match Pointers
WITTON Albion and Sutton Coldfield Town try again little more than 48 hours after a stalemate at Wincham Park on Saturday.

Their prize, apart from £2,300 in prize money, will be a home date with UniBond League Division One South outfit Brigg Town in the next round at the end of the month.

Gary Finley sprung a huge surprise at the weekend when he dropped first choice defensive duo Brian Pritchard and Paul Booth in favour of striker-cum-defender Stuart Rudd and newcomer Carl Ruffer.

He is likely to stick to the same formula at Sutton.

Mike Moseley was restored to the attack with some success at the weekend, sharing the workload with Steve Foster – who scored Witton’s late leveller from the spot.

Their form on the road has been patchy this term, winning three and losing as many in the league, although they did send Prescot Cables out of the UniBond League President’s Cup last Tuesday.

Sutton Coldfield have won only once in the league in front of their own supporters this season – their only victory in the Zamaretto Southern League Midlands Division.
