VALE Royal Athletics Club sends teams to both senior national road relay championships this weekend.
The men’s line-up, consisting of Tom Annable, Tom Carter, Andrew Clews, Zack Cross, Ed Crowther, Stu Doyle, James Griffiths, Andy Perry, Chris Perry and James Stringer, compete over six stages at Birmingham’s Sutton Park on Saturday.
Women race over four stages on the same day.
Rebecca Craigie, Nikki Meadows, Kate Spilsbury, Stevie Stockton and Kathy Stringer are registered to run for Vale Royal.
The ERRA Nike Young Athletes Road Relay Championships in association with England Athletics takes place at the same venue the following day, Sunday, with the Knights Grange-based club sending teams to run in each of the age groups from U13s to U17s.
