DYLAN Adams will sit out three matches through suspension as punishment for his dismissal in Witton Albion’s weekend draw with Quorn.

The full back was shown a red card following his tackle on Cameron Keast in the second half of the UniBond League Division One South encounter, a game that finished 2-2.

His ban starts on Saturday week when Gary Finley’s men head to Goole AFC.

Adams, 20, will also miss the midweek UniBond League Challenge Cup clash at home to Cammell Laird plus the visit of Brigg Town to Wincham Park on October 31.

“I thought it was a harsh decision,” Finley told the Guardian.

“He did go in hard but he won the ball and their player jumped out of the way. Dylan’s momentum meant he could not pull out.

“I don’t think it was a sending off offence.”

Former Fleetwood man Adams is the second Witton player to be dismissed this season.

Last month Stuart Rudd was booked twice in Albion’s 1-0 league win at Grantham Town, earning him a one-match ban.
