WINSFORD United lifted the St Luke’s Cup on Saturday after defeating Sandbach United 3-0 in the final.
The pair finished in the top two places after the six group games, with Skelmersdale United and Runcorn Town the other two teams involved in a tournament designed to give the players some meaningful matches after the league campaigns were curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic for a second successive season.

Blues were two goals to the good at half-time, both scored by Sam Madeley from Joe Duckworth assists.
Duckworth was brought down and Madeley kept his cool from the penalty spot as Winsford took the lead in the 17th minute.
And then a super ball in by Duckworth was perfect for Madeley to head home after 29 minutes.
