Graham Potter said he was proud of his Albion team as they opened their home account.
He was also praised the crowd’s reaction to a 1-1 draw with West ham.
Leandro Trossard had a goal wiped out after a VAR review but later scored a cracker to cancel out Javier Hernandez’s opener for the Hammers.
Albion had chances to secure what would have been a deserved win.
But Potter was upbeat about what he had seen.
He told The Argus: “I thought it was a good game. I am really proud of the players.
“They put a lot into the game and showed great courage and spirit and recovered from two setbacks in terms of the disallowed goal and going behind.
“They tried their best to do what we asked them to do, solved problems themselves on the pitch.
“It was a really positive performance and we are a little bit disappointed we didn’t take three points.
“The crowd were great. They got behind us and appreciated what was happening on the pitch.
“In the end we take that and try and improve and get three points.”
