Haresfinch 20 Latchford Albion 12
ADAM Wood marked his return from a broken jaw with a try, but he could not help Latchford Albion to victory on Saturday.
Wood ran a great line to crash onto Matty Ellis’ short ball to score next to the posts with 15 minutes remaining, with Matt Barker adding the conversion.
Unfortunately, however, hosts Haresfinch had pulled away into a 20-6 lead by this point and despite some late pressure, Wood’s effort failed to spark a comeback.
Ellis scored Albion’s other try before the break as he followed up his own kick to touch down, with Barker again converting.
Latchford's next league game sees them host Wigan St Cuthberts on Saturday, July 6.
