Cheshire League Division One

In-form Barnton had won five of their previous six matches in all competitions before taking a tumble at Stockport Trinity last weekend.

Cory Devanny (45) doubled his runs tally for 2019, but it was pretty much the only highlight as the visitors were dismissed for just 85.

A date with Division One leaders Cheadle Hulme will focus minds, but it is also an opportunity to gauge their progress during a promising start to the campaign.

Cheshire County League Division One

The men from Butcher's Stile climbed to third in the standings after three successive wins but defeats in the past fortnight to Bramhall and then Sale have stalled their momentum.

A visit from back-markers Romiley, who have lost five matches already after being promoted from Division Two at the end of last season as runners-up to Brooklands, presents an opportunity to get back on track.

Cheshire League Division One

There have been a couple of 'What ifs?' for Kingsley already this season.

They lost by 20 runs at Ashton on Mersey last weekend when they were set a target of 239 to win, but were on course for an unlikely victory after recovering from 75-6 to require 22 runs with seven overs left.

There will be frustration they fell short, but encouragement that they have been more than a match for the best teams in Division One to date.
